A Journey Guided by God –  Part 4

In this God-guided journey, my friends; once I gave my life to Christ and was water baptised, I Immediately plunged into Children’s Ministry. It was my calling. After some years of church hopping, getting married, and raising a family, I was planted by God where He wanted me to be. It was full circle back to First Assembly of God Wortmanville, where I first heard the Gospel being preached.

Eventually, I became involved in the Vacation Bible School of the Fellowship. It was then that God, through the Holy Ghost, reminded me of my encounter with children years before during a vacation period. It was as if God had a video that showed me with one pew of children and then me venturing to help in another location.

As I look back over the years, I realised that God had given me a dry run of what my full purpose would be like. My small beginning was a shadow of what He had prepared for me to do. Fulfiling purpose at two locations was God’s vision more than thirty years ago.

It’s amazing to know that God knows us before we are born and has a purpose for every human being on this earth. Jesus is our perfect example. There were shadows of God’s plan for His life from the foundation of the world. In the fullness of time, Jesus became our Redeemer. I marvel to see that God waited for the right time and opportunity to enlist me in His army. I thank Him for His patience with me. He has brought me to a place to do things that I did not know I was capable of doing. He is my source, and He has always provided the resources for every task that was given to me. I thank Him for the gift of the Holy Ghost, Who resides within me to strengthen, comfort, guide, and empower. God is an amazing God!

Prayer

Lord, You have said that nothing can separate us from Your love. Every word that You have uttered is true. You have not changed, and I know You never change. Help me to cultivate the Fruit of the Spirit and to allow it to benefit everyone with whom I come into contact. As Your servant, may I be worthy to be called Your friend. Forgive me for the many times that I have failed to bring honour to Your name. Cover my life with Your blood and continue to keep me in perfect peace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
